Mac filtering

How do you enable MAC filtering for the EE smart home hub plus? I've visited the website and the EE app and neither of those have the feature and the EE home app fails every time that I try to connect the WIFI to it. I even reset the WIFI to factory settings but I still couldn't set it up in the app. Did EE remove MAC filtering because I was able to do so on the website a few years ago?

What do you want to fix?

Why do you want "Mac filtering" to do?

Is the problem that you can't connect to the WiFi?

I'm not trying to fix anything, I just want to enable MAC filtering so that only devices that I add to the MAC filter can connect, rather than anyone with the password to the WiFi and you used to be able to do this through the web page but no longer can.

What I meant with not being able to connect to the WiFi was that the EE home app wasn't connecting to it, which Is the app that I am led to believe is what you use to edit the more complex router settings that you can't do through the web page.

@Skelly2025 : The EE Home would fail! It's not designed for the Smart Hub Plus but intended for the earlier white Smart Router.

Get hold of the latest EE app, v 5.53.1, from your app store but I don't think it offers MAC Filtering..

@Skelly2025 That app is not designed to work with the new router, and your term mac filtering is applied with different feature on the newer router.

I'm looking at the correct app now, what feature is it applied with? I've seen old posts suggesting that it's done through the control of 'groups' but that seems to be more like parental controls than MAC filtering.

Thanks for pointing this out, I'll stop trying to use that then.

@JimM11 : What is it called this diff feature that applies MAC Filtering? It's certainly no feature of the SH+.

@Skelly2025 Mac filtering, whitelist, blacklist, block a device from connecting, it's NOT a feature on the + router, one step forward and a few backwards, i have applied a tp-Link to do so and block a few devices to keep on the main network, that is the reason i needed not to keep them off, but just redirect as devices go were they want.

Ahhh, well that's unfortunate...
