How can EE screw up the technology so badly that their service sucks? We had 1-2 cut outs in 5 years with BT and it was normally around 3 in the morning which we put down to scheduled restarts.
Now we are cutting out at least once a day and it is becoming infuriating because they are using BT's line so it is an issue with their router / hardware. We swapped over in November from BT's hardware and ever since then it has been a disaster...so how can a company completely ruin a service with crappy hardware? We are definitely switching provider when our contract is up because this is similar to early 2000's internet in terms of reliability.

@bigsteve47 What EE Router do you have?

Hi @bigsteve47
You have answered your own question. Complaining about the FREE router then buy your own like many other people.
Investing in quality router will last you years and provide more flexibility when expanding your home network.
Thanks

Which EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What EE router do you have (read its label or post a pix)?

smart hub sh32b model F5394-P..surely they should've given me the smart hub pro in nov 24?

Huh? So you think it is acceptable to have 3 dropouts an hour on full fibre internet @ 100 quid a month because the hardware they give out is "free"? Not sure how liquified your brain is but this is one of the stupidest things i've read in a while. The entire point here was BT's smart hub was great and also "free" versus a piece of junk that drops out every hour.

Fair enough..the WIFI 7 part on the smart hub pro is unappealing to me, I am currently using the Amazon Eero mesh network which is wifi 6, I just want my connection to be reliable and the regular smart hub router sucks....

No, you're not entitled to the SH Pro on the FF 900 plan. It'll be an extra £10 pm.
