Hi,

I just did a speed test and it shows 57Mbps when it's usually 150 or above and the guaranteed speed is 100mbps.

I used the EE broadband checker and the hub was restarted, as the diagnostic said my broadband home connection could be improved.

For context,I moved to EE from BT in November and I still use the BT smart hub.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks

@Bert25 Seen you picture update, and you certainly are up at full speed.👍

Thanks @JimM11

Apologies I was reading on my phone and missed the link!

I wasn't aware about the public WiFi setting, how can I deactivate that? I click on the option but it takes me to the BT website.  Is that something I can do myself or do I need to contact BT, it's a bit strange as I'm a EE customer now?

Thanks again!

@Bert25 It's a hangover from the BT Smarthub2, and a terrible option, have a look on the BT Forum for advice on what to do, there are 2 that i seen, EE WiFi and the BTx mode, both are transmitted on that particular router, you want to have them off, and you will not see them unless you have a wifi analyser installed on your phone, netspot is an app that will show you, just use the free version...

Turning them off YOUR ROUTER ONLY, you also DO NOT want it to effect your Mobile option just incase you wish to use Hotspot Feature when you are out and about. Link below explains the Hotspot.

Thanks @JimM11

I'll have a look at the BT community!

@Bert25 You could do it through the MyBT account, so if yours is still up and running would be worth a try, just not sure EE would be up to that as yet, just search Public Access on the BT Forum and you will find something.
