Broadband deals for new customers are much better than loyal existing customers

So I am nearly out of contract.  I pay £55.99 a month to EE and have done for nearly two years (900mbs FTTP).

I call EE and they initially off me aq new deal at £38.99 a month till April and then £42.99 a month (and a further £4.00 a year after).

I look online and EE are offering the exact same deal to new customers for £26.99 a month till April, then £30.99 a month (and a further £4.00 a year after).  Plus a £120 reward card

I spent an hour on the phone to EE in Dublin.  About 30 mins of that was the person trying to sell me Netflix/sim cards despite me telling him on numerous occasions I just wanted the same deal as available online.  Put me on hold, came back ten mins later, said no and tried to sell me more SIM cards.

Explained again to him that effectively, by staying a loyal customer to EE, I was being punished and charged more.  He simply didn't care or get it.  His main objective was to sell me SIM cards.  Put me on hold again.

In the time I was on hold the second time, I went to Vodafone, signed up to same FTTP speed for £27.00 till April.  £31.00 and a further £4.00 a year after.  Plus, I got a £140 reward card.

All I can say say is that retention of customers is as important as obtaining new customers.  EE really provided me with no incentive to stay, just basically a punishment... stay with us and spend an extra £10.00 (at least a month) and no reward card for you loyal customer!

Absolute shambles to be honest.  Made me feel happy when I received the EE 'sorry top see you are leaving us' text.

@Richard19722 Then leave EE and OTS to another ISP, your contract is nearly up so go now it's time... The message was good, now you will have retentions all over you like a rash, if you are like me then they had there chance and by-by, sister did get £14 less offer so you have to see what they say. She left anyway VF connection will go live 7/10 and i just have to drive up and swap her Hub out, and sort out VF Vulnerable policy at the same time when there,,,, as a note VF Powerhub is very strict for wireless wifi passwords, if you currently have like the EE ones now you will be fine, if not doo-doo land and a network rebuild.

If you do have a landline with EE watch out, VF in the transfer lost mine lied through there back teeth it was fine then professed 3 months later oops sorry our mistake 42 years i had it and gone forever, so trust them NOT.....
