So I’ve already got the 1.6gbps service but have never been able to access it via wired due to the u rent routers limitations, will I be getting offered an upgrade for my current contract with EE? I don’t want to have to wait until this one is over to be able to step up to the pro?

I ordered the 1.6gb package on Thursday 12th Sep, the agent on the phone told me I will be receiving the new WiFi 7 router, although on the paperwork it says the smart hub +. Hoping this is an error and it will be installed with the new equipment.
I will update on receipt which should be next week as the service is due to go live on the 26th.

@Notorious4k Equipment normally arrives few days before the activation date so expect around the 24th, do you currently have fttp installed? New ONT is required for the higher speed package just so you know, if you need there is pic's on the forum and descriptions if you need to search!

@Notorious4k routers are normally shipped to arrive a couple of days before the install, so maybe the week after. But you should get a message and tracking number when it is dispatched.

I was told the same thing and a WIFI 6 was delivered yesterday I called to get the wifi 7 sent out and was told I would have to pay after being told on the phone I would get a wifi 7 on install day,
cancelled as I was in my 30 day cooling off!

Hi yes all installed and runs using WIFI 6 so it’s just bottlenecking

Was just wondering, with the date being 17th, and if it was you had to pay, because of it, as has been suggested those on the 1.6Gb/s packages were to get the router equipment free swap out on Tuesday onwards. Since you have cancelled then may not matter!
