Download speed keeps dropping from 300Mbps to 150Mbps

I've been an EE FTTP customer for about 16 months.  Before then I was with BT also on FTTP.  I was on a 150Mbps download plan for both.   My broadband has always been 100% reliable,

Last week I upgraded to 300Mbps.  I received notification from EE that the upgrade had happened.  However, my download speed was still 150Mbps.  I tried rebooting my router.  Still on 150Mbs.  I then rebooted the ONT and finally I got 300Mbps.

Today when I checked the speed of my broadband, the FTTP connection was running back at 150Mbps.  I could only get it back to 300Mbps by rebooting the ONT and router.

Any suggestions please?

@jaybeetooee With the BT Smarthub 2 on the ONT connection, have you tried the text to EE, it's HELP to 66033, that kicks off the diagnostic check all the way to your home, hub and devices.... An EE Guide should in theory give you a call back, the software that is used on the EE side is called HomeView+, ask the guide to send you the pdf file so you can take a look and compare against your home.

I did try help.  I got a callback but when I answered the line was dead.  I’ve done another help and I’m waiting for a callback.

@jaybeetooee I posted up a couple off old EE app speed test's from a while back, do you get the speed test working when you try it for your own connection?

Speed is fine from Smart Hub and my own router then every couple of weeks it drops to half speed.  ONT reboot is the only solution.

@jaybeetooee Ok think i have you now, the system is showing you 300/50Mb/s on the app when working correctly speed to the hub, but when it goes what is the values you see? There is a down / up, the FF150 is 150/30 i believe controlled by OR and the ONT. See when cleared for viewing.
