⚠️ Your hub may have a different software version to someone else’s, and that’s normal. If your hub’s software matches the version listed for your model, everything is working as expected. You only need to do something if your hub is running an older version than the one shown. If you’ve just set up a new hub, leave it switched on for 24 hours. This gives it time to download and install the latest updates automatically.
How can I check that my hub’s software is up to date?
Web browser
- Open the Hub Manager in a web browser by going to the address http://192.168.1.254
- When you visit 192.168.1.254 to access your EE Hub Manager, your web browser might display a message saying your connection isn’t private or secure. This can seem worrying—but it’s completely normal and safe in this case. Security warning when accessing the Hub Manager
- Go to 'Status' and enter Hub admin password when prompted
- Firmware version is listed there. Note it will be in a longer format e.g. r5.3.0-R-1805084-PROD-1 = r5.3.0
EE App
- Open EE App
- Navigate to Manage > Broadband
- Pair your hub to the App if you haven't already
- Tap Settings icon under the image of your hub
- Tap Hub Details
- Scroll to bottom
