Hi,
This morning I received a new Smart Hub Plus from EE. I was expecting SH31B model but received instead a SH30A hub. Is there any differences between the two?
Thank you

I've not heard of a SH30A. You sure you don't have the EE Smart Hub (2023), model no. SH20A? I understand it is EE badge-engineered version of the BT SH2 & therefore likely to still have BT firmware.. As such it is a WiFi5 compatible router. 2 later EE routers are the WiFi6 Smart Hub Plus (SH31B) & the WiFi7 Smart Hub Pro (SH40J).

I would be very annoyed if this is the case as my persistent with them was to so I could get he latest version and also with the added Advanced Parental Controls! I shall send a screenshot of the underside but it is definitely Smart Hub PLUS and definitely SH30A ... the box is also different - it has a WiFi details on the side like the BT hub / SH20A and the packing is also smaller and taller!

@drmeister Post a picture up of the router, back and front views, you can remove or hide any details you wish not to be shown.

It doesn't say Smart Hub PLUS. Let's see the front.

@drmeister Similar but slightly different label on the SH31B, no reference to PLUS apart from on the Cardboard packaging box, Front view and back views will show some more detail picture wise, to get better idea unless you want to call EE CS and find out...

Looks remarkedly like a Smart Hub Plus (SH31B).

May just be a generational thing, packed at the back of all the other routers, stocks going low would not be surprised the way they throw routers about to check issues. Hopefully OP just put's it on and see's how it updates.
