Amazon Fire Tv new wifi cannot connect to EE

I have EE wifi.

I have not been able to log my Amazon Toshiba Fire TV to EE wifi as there is EE cookies message which does not show fully. It says click ok if you accept cookies. Nothing happens. This is preventing me from logging into EE wifi for the first time on this tv. It says scroll down etc to click ok on the cookies box, but nothing happens when I click ok. My phone is on EE wifi and that is fine. The Amazon fire tv is registered on my Amazon account. It is just the cookies box with white background that will not move, so preventing me from logging in. It also says connect to EE wifi but not connected to the internet. Yet I can connect to the internet on my phone.

@Garethrprice no problem at all.

So just to clarify, I can order this online from EE without having to call them?

I just order a mobile wireless router?

Do I need anything other equipment from EE?

Thank you.

@XRaySpeX

Sorry.

I did not mean anything untoward. Not sure what you are referring to.

Busy sorting out utilities, broken washing machine and shower to deal with.

Apologies. Sending these messages on a phone whilst watching tv and trying not to lose connection.

Thank you.

@Garethrprice

No problem.

Got too much to do and sort.

Sleep happens eventually.

Lol

Fair enough with the drilling @Karen207

One more thought that occurs. Are you in a block with other flats? Have you asked any of your neighbours if they have broadband/what they have etc?

You can indeed order online if you are happy doing this. Go through the link I posted earlier and you can progress through that to seeing the plans and order pages. You will not need any other equipment, other than maybe a mains lead extender if you need to put the router near a window but the mains socket is not that close to the window. You won’t know where to place the router until you get it of course.

The sleeping reference was aimed at @XRaySpeX , not yourself @Karen207  as we were exchanging messages at 3 in the morning last night 😄

@Garethrprice

No. Not asked any neighbours.

I have to find what works for me with what I have here eg TV etc.

There is a phone type socket on one wall btw. However, I like the idea of a mobile router. I just hope to God that it works on my TV.

Thank you.

@Karen207  the reason I suggested asking the neighbours, if they are with the same landlord as yourself, was to see if they had managed to persuade the landlord to let them have Fibre Broadband installed.  From what you posted before you are in an area now where new installations of broadband via the copper wires, ie through the telephone socket is no longer available, and all new, fixed line, installations will be done with Fibre cable (involving the drilling/ONT box on the internal wall etc.

One more thing to clarify @Karen207 . When my brother ordered the mobile router system, they sent out the router and the appropriate Sim Card separately, but that was around 2 years ago. I would imagine it is still the same system so you may receive one before the other (or the system may have changed now-I don’t know) but it should all be explained during the order procedure
