I have EE wifi.
I have not been able to log my Amazon Toshiba Fire TV to EE wifi as there is EE cookies message which does not show fully. It says click ok if you accept cookies. Nothing happens. This is preventing me from logging into EE wifi for the first time on this tv. It says scroll down etc to click ok on the cookies box, but nothing happens when I click ok. My phone is on EE wifi and that is fine. The Amazon fire tv is registered on my Amazon account. It is just the cookies box with white background that will not move, so preventing me from logging in. It also says connect to EE wifi but not connected to the internet. Yet I can connect to the internet on my phone.

By their very nature all Fire TV’s will be able to connect via Wi Fi in order to connect to Amazon Prime Video etc. what model do you have?

@Karen207 whether it will work for you will depend on the mobile signal in your property, as well as the number of people also using data from your nearest mobile mast.
You can fairly easily check what the performance will be and if it is suitable by seeting your phone up as a hotspot and connect your Fire TV to that. Some people get a good mobile signal and it is enough to run WiFi at home, not all do, you will also need a SIM with enough data for your needs. But do give it a go on your phone before you get stuck with a contract that does not work for you.
I have noticed you have marked the topic as solved, but not sure if you actually got rid of the cookies message in your original post?

I guess you have only just obtained the TV and were trying to connect it up for the first time? Regarding ‘being stuck with a contract…”, you will have a 14 day cooling off period with a new contract if it does not prove suitable. You say you have an android phone, get a Speedtest app from the Play Store and check what speed you are getting on your phone (Ookla for example). This will give you an indication of what you would get with a mobile router. You would have to have a fairly high, or unlimited, data plan on your phone if you wanted to use it as a Hotspot, as suggested by @Mustrum, and planned to watch a lot of Prime Video or other players.

Hi,
No. Had tv a few months now.
It works. I like to stream programmes rarely from Amaxon prime video, but I have done that previously.
Can mobile hotspot but that uses a lot of mobile data. Tv does work. I have it on now.
The problem is it previously worked on wifi, but new wifi network will not work as I cannot get past the cookie box in front of the EE login.
Thank you and @Mustrum
Thank you for advising me about 14 day cooling off period etc.
All I want is to be able to watch tv using home wifi instead of mobile hotspotting/tethering. I cannot use my mobile if it is tethering.
Thank you.
