We are finding the standard broadband a little slow, and are part way through a contract on that plan,
If I order fibre, will it cancel out my current broadband contract?
I obviously don't want to be left paying for two services.
I don't think we had new equipment, as I just renewed when my previous contract expired.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Yes, you may upgrade mid-plan. You will start a new contract. You can't have 2 BBs on the same line anyway. You will be sent a new router for fibre.
You can do this online thro' your MyEE for BB under Change your broadband plan . Make sure you give your existing landline no. during the application.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Prior to asking this question, I went through the order process until the last page to check pricing, which was £31. I added my mobile number because I am an EE mobile customer, and the price came down to £28.
Once you confirmed I could actually continue I went back and placed my upgrade and the price went up to £32 and the discount wasn't applied.
Am I not eligible for the discount because I am an existing Broadband customer switching contracts, or should I contact CS?
