replacement sim card not working in new devise.The letter stated that all i had to do was insert the sim and that it would work.Sim card still not working after 10 hours.Any help with this matter would be much appreciated thanks

Try switching the phone on and off and see if that brings the sim card into service.
If that doesn't work then I would recommend giving customer service a call tomorrow (they reopen at 8am).
Customer service can be reached from another phone (landline or another mobile phone) on:

Have you still got the sim card from the phone you had before the new device you mention?
If you have just taken out a new contract and your new phone came with a sim card, you can usually disregard this and just use the sim card out of your old phone and it should work.
