Hi, after my son lost his iPhone I lent him my old (2017) contract iPhone X until he could afford to buy a replacement. A year later he has now forgotten his Apple ID password and subsequently on returning the phone to me I found that the activation lock had been turned on.
After contacting Apple Support, I got 'proof of ownership' emailed to me from EE but Apple have said it is not enough as the serial number is not stated on the emailed paperwork and I also need a copy of the original delivery note, which I no longer have. Has anyone an idea what I should do next?
