iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

I'm waiting to complain.

Seems the penny has dropped for many people.

I think demand wasn't expected and EE have dropped a massive ball and aren't being open and upfront with customers.

I would take anything they say with a massive pinch of salt, ask for a manager and complain officially.

I'll never understand the "oh we didn't expect such large interest in this product!" its the new iPhone, it will always be popular, come on now.

Just spoke to Carol in complaints, added £30 credit to account.

The upshot is that if you don't have it or notification via DPD its coming by now you are in unknown delivery time territory... "Aiming to Deliver in 14 days but no guarantee"

I ordered on the 16th at 13:04pm online for iPhone 12 Pro pacific blue 128Gb received email confirmation but no money taken for upgrade fee

called them on the 17th at 8:15am to ask why , said order was in a big backlog due to processed but said he would manually do it there and then to put me near front of the queue and guaranteed I’d get one on launch , money immediately taken and receive a text confirmation with link to order

On Tuesday tracker changed to due on 23rd October , Wednesday that changed to dispatch in 24 hours

received DPD notification yesterday morning at 10:30am of delivery for today , received my one hour slot at 12:35pm today for Phone to be delivered between 1:57pm / 2:57pm

hope that information helps some people and sorry for those who have been messed about and left frustrated

I ordered my iPhone 12 Pro Gold on the day it came out at 1pm and was told it was being delivered on 23rd 🥺 I got no text from DPD. 

Called EE & they said all the Pro’s are in high demand & the latest I’ll get it is on Monday 😫 I don’t mind waiting but they got me excited 😒

@Kirstenshell You’re all getting better than me 😂 I got £10 back; however I suppose I did get zero upfront cost on the full works package at £68 pm (free 20% discount) and also £120 fee removed for 3 month early upgrade I suppose
