iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

I called them last night just to check up on them, and I managed to talk to a very nice guy. If u ordered it in pacific blue, u will get ur order in 14 days, any other colour probably less than a week. The online orders were put in queue but they were not processed til monday at least, if u did it over the phone u are luckier cause ur order went through straight away. They are just apologising and looking for excuses, but it is madness, the lack of communication and randomising order does not help. I opened a complaint with them, but except an apology I got nothing back.

So I orderd my phone on 5 pm on 16 and pretty much I have to wait two weeks for my phone

Over the phone

i ordered my phone this tuesday in silver and still says awaiting confirmation any news?

Gonna stick my neck on the line for hate here but its not entirely EEs fault, apple with only give them a certain amount of phones regardless of pre orderes, yes EEs "first come first serve" policy is sketchy at best but just remember the thousands of people who arent on this forum who preodered on day 1. I cancelled my order anyway after seeing a battery comparison agaisnt the 11 and the 12 came of worse with its smaller battery.

Also if you think this launch day is bad, you should have seen the galaxy fold 2 launch, now that was a fuster cluck!!

It’s been confirmed now.

All people who haven’t had any notification or information regarding their order means you are placed on a back log.

EE are awaiting arrival for new stock which at the earliest will be next week Friday but could be two weeks.

They’re facing a-lot of cancellations because of this failed launch.

So you either wait or cancel.

Important to note, other companies such as vodaphone e t c are experiencing the same issues so it won’t improve if you do decide to not carry out your order.

Not receiving a notification doesn't automatically mean you will be waiting re ally long for delivery.

I ordered the 12 pro, and I had no confirmation E-mail or text from DPD.

I spoke to 3 people yesterday to try and get some info and I was told 3 different things. The first said I will get the phone today, launch day. The other said 26th-27th and the 3 person said "it could be a while"

Well, after receiving zero contact or tracking info, my new phone got delivered about 30 minutes ago. So all is not lost, it may come later today.

Just chatted to Customer Services about the whereabouts of my preorder and they said if you made the order on the 16th, you'll get it on the day (apparently). Anytime after the 16th it'll take 14 days to get it delivered...

Actually quite a crap response but given everything I’m not surprised but at least we know what’s happening with majority of our orders after the 16th Oct!

Hope this helps people 🙂

EDIT: They said it'll be 14 days from when your order was placed. NOT from the release date of the phone 🙂
