Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!
Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.
Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.
What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

Ah ok - I see your point! I did mean to put that anyone who had been promised delivery tomorrow but didn’t receive their 3 confirmation emails for a few days wouldn’t get their orders tomorrow - serves me right for trying to eat and type!

My preorder experience has been random to say the least -
I upgraded via their online chat in an attempt to get a better deal (iPhone XR contract had come to an end). Took almost 2 hours on the online chat while they attempted to take the upfront payment via a number of methods due to system issues.
I then received no confirmation email or anything. I phoned a day later and they manually sent me a confirmation text saying it would be delivered in 14 days?!
Nothing since then, no email, no text.
I just spoke to someone on online chat again as the order track says my order can't be tracked...apparently that is normal and only goes live tomorrow?! Or is that just not true?
Frustrating to say the least 😞

@iPhone1233 just didn't want everyone who ordered Friday thinking they're definitely ain't getting it. I still wouldn't go by what CS says because I didn't get my confirmation straight away either and I have confirmed with DPD for tomorrow.

I have had no confirmation on order either.
Apparantly told will receive just before phone is shipped

Fair, but the truth is after speaking with an advisor it is pretty obvious that my order has not been processed in time just days after, and I who preordered it just after 1pm on the 16th and promised a friday delivery won`t get it on Friday. That does not inspire confidence

@sharepointalex I wouldn't say that's true as a lot of us have had tracking details already. I think there has been a problem. With people who placed orders over the phone or on Web chat as a lot of the customer service team are incompetent and haven't done the orders correctly

So how much are we thinking a 12 max pro contract will be I’m thinking £99 a month £30 upfront unl everything iPhone plan ?

@Treble I'd guess between £5-£10 extra a month on what the non max Pro variant plans cost

£87 a month for the 12 pro with the 3 swappable so at a guess £97 a month ouch x 24 £2328
£1100 for the handset works out at £51 a month for the plan, mmm think I will buy sim free and stick to my sim only plan all pure speculation off course 🤔

I processed my order on Friday at 2pm with confirmed delivery for launch day; then I had to call them on Tuesday 20th because there was an issue with their system so they had to replace my order.. the rep said he spoke with his manager and confirmed I would still get it for the 23rd.
My tracking still shows awaiting confirmation so I called customer service about an hour ago.. they’ve said it will be 14 days and that the online tracker they provide is actually not accurate and I should only go by the tracking I receive from DPD via text as and when I receive it.
If I don’t receive it tomorrow I will be calling to make a complaint over false promises; I’d rather be told the truth and not be taking days off from work
