iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

Surely that can’t be right?!

I`m not saying there are no exceptions, but the fact the most of the orders has not been processed just days after says a lot.

the worst thing is that i didn’t even know about the order processing faults. It’s a completely different story if you get an email saying “sorry - this happened our bad” than complete radio silence. I really don’t want to have blast customer services tomorrow but I’m not hopeful.

I ordered on Friday, had a confirmation email that would get phone on launch day. Had an email on Monday and rang on Tuesday. They said needed to confirm details because I wanted to trade my phone in. Decided against trading phone in and paid the upfront cost, had an another email of confirmation and now it still just says order confirmed when I try to track!!! The advisor on the phone stated would either come Friday or next week...

Everyone I have spoken with in CS have done everything they can and have been as helpful as possible. EE’s problems have always been it’s processes (I worked in store when at uni) and most systems used to run on the old T-Mobile CRM so it’s getting old. Frontline staff (and my still-active discount) are the only reason I stay with EE.

I now regret selling my XS, but I wanted to get the most cash for it and had to send it off when I did.

looks like I won’t get the phone until next week at some point. I wonder if I can cancel and try and get one in store tomorrow,as I’m away next week

Speaking from experience: if you can’t get an online/tele order, the chances of getting one in store is almost zero. When I worked in one store (for the 6s launch) we had about 100 6s and 6s Plus’ delivered - every single one was allocated to a pre-ordered. We only starting getting free stock after about a week. Worth a shot, though - try calling around your local stores; most staff would be happy to put one by for you, if they have the stock and you can get there ASAP.

@sleepy  Same as me, ordered Friday about 2pm and DPD have it already, it’s on it’s way to my local depot, with delivery before 10.30am tomorrow.

Feel sorry for anyone whos order has been messed up though, defeats the whole point of preordering 🙄

@iPhone1233 I ordered mine Friday and DPD now have it in there posession. You can't outright tell people that they won't get their orders

@Morgan881 again people stating claims that EE have messed up when it isn't even Friday yet, vast majority people will get their phones and there will inevitably be a few that won't.
