Hello,
I have two iPad Pro 11” devices running iPadOS v14.4.2 both on a data sim from EE and I only ever get an IPv4 address and never an IPv6 address from EE when on Mobile Data. (It is fine on my home WiFi). My iPhone has both IPv4 and IPv6 all the time. Tried putting the iPad SIM in my iPhone and it gets both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses so it is not the SIM. It seems that EE sees the device as an iPad and only gives it an IPv6 address. Very strange!
Tried contacting EE support and they had no clue what I was talking about!
Anyone able to help!??

Hi @allisong
Thanks for coming to the community.
Have you had an iPv6 address showing previously?
If you put your iPhone SIM card in the iPad does this get both addresses?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Yes I get IPv6 if I use an Pay as You Go sim from another network. If I swap SIMS with my iPhone then the iPhone gets IPv6 fine still but the iPad still does not. iPad is definitely able to use IPv6 fine but the EE carrier settings or something seems to block it....

Is there a carrier settings update, @allisong?
It should pop up when you tap Settings > General > About, if there's one available.
Also, is it on the latest software version?

No carrier updates it is on v45 from EE same as iPhone, software version is first post and is absolutely latest but issue has been with me through various versions as this has been the case for six months or more.

OK thanks, @allisong
Could you try resetting the network settings please?
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Follow on-screen prompts.

Have you tried a full backup and restore, @allisong?
