Hi all, I have the 4g Home Router 2, it was advertised as having a range of 30m but it barely does a third of that in our house. Can anyone tell me what range extenders are compatible?
Thanks

Hi @Will66.
Welcome to the community.
Are you having any trouble with the actual speeds of the router or is it the range that is the main issue?
For some home routers we offer an external antenna but this wouldn't increase the range.

Hi Jon, the speed seems to be fine, it's the range in the house that's the problem. The router is in the middle of the house downstairs and we don't get WiFi in the bedrooms upstairs or in the connecting garage that we've converted to an office. I'm sitting about 4m away through a block wall and WiFi signal on my keeps dropping in and out. Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks,
Will

Hi @Will66
It may be worth having a chat with our technical support team to see if there's anything they can do to help you in this situation.

@Will66.. much depends on the layout of your house, thickness of walls etc. My router is at one end of quite a long property - I had to buy an extender to get a strong enough wifi signal to the other end of the house. FWIW I have a TP Link RE450 which works well - we can use Zoom upstairs for example. There is an even more powerful model (RE650) if you need more power into more rooms. Don't bother with cheap extenders.
I don't like to rely on wifi for TV catch up/streaming so I had a CAT5 cable run from the router to the TV for this purpose.
Mesh systems are another possibility, I have no experience of these but others may be able to advise.

@wardithanks, after reading another post I've ordered the RE650, fingers crossed!
