Upgrading phone can I just return old to store

Didn't know what to tag this as but I'm upgrading my phone and need to return my current one I did it over the phone and they are sending a envelope but I don't really trust the royal mail not to lose it as I've had them lose things before. Am I allowed to just take it into my nearby EE store ? Also does it need to be in its original box with charger and info book or just the phone.

@Truenive1   Just the phone.  The device isn’t posted to EE it goes to Brightstar.   Just pay for tracking or at least proof of postage.   Any issues with postage and your covered as it’s not your fault if anything happens will in the care of the Royal Mail,  Just wrap the device up well so it doesn’t get damaged.

but is it actually possible to return an old phone to a store?

Hi @blueingreen79,

Sorry, you can't take your trade in phone into your local EE store. Your old phone would need to be returned in the envelope provided.
