Trade in Discount

I recently traded in my old iPhone for a new one that gave me £15 a month off of my monthly bill. Looking at account it says my first bill to come out will be £57 rather than the £42 agreed in the store. Is this usual and EE will only take the correct amount?

@andyc37  this is normal as you need to pay the difference from when you first got the device to your first bill for the following month.

say you got the device on the 20th and your bill is produced on the 30th  as that’s your billing date you need to pay the 10 days to the 30th and also for the following month as you pay pro rata.
