Switching mobile numbers on accounts

Evening,

Is it possible to move my EE pay as you go number to my EE contract and put my EE contract number on to my EE pay as you go account?

Basically have the pay as you go number as my work phone and need the ‘call waiting’ option which isn’t set up for pay as you go customers.

Any ideas if this can be done?

It can't be done! Once you transfer the no. of the contract a/c away it cancels that contract SIM stone dead. All you can do is ask CS to move the PAYG no. to the contract & get yourself another PAYG SIM.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC => 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC => 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC => 2022: EE 80 Meg FTTC (no landline number)

The other option is to first port the PAYG number to another operator using a PAC.

Now convert your pay-monthly number to PAYG by giving 30days disconnection notice - assuming you're outside the minimum contractual term, and requesting a conversion to PAYG.

Now port the original PAYG number back into EE as a new pay-monthly customer.

Or the other way round, where the pay-monthly is ported out, and the PAYG is converted to pay-monthly using the switch to pay-monthly service.

@bristolian @XRaySpeX  Thank you both for the responses and advice, much appreciated 👍🏻
