Sending a phone to different address ID verify

I’ve just ordered the iPhone 12 on contract to my girlfriends house in the Uk as I am currently out of the country until next year and she was going to send the phone to me, I’ve just read that the person on the packaging needs to be present to verify their ID, I’m wondering how I could get round this, could she FaceTime me when the courier comes?

DPD require someone at the address to have photo ID with the same surname as yourself

Would a family member be able to receive the delivery at your Girlfriends address?
