Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Same with me (sort of). I upgraded to an S20 Ultra about 2 weeks ago. The guy over the phone from EE said it will be delivered to me on the release date. A friend of mine then upgraded a few days after me and he got told he wouldn’t get it till the end of the month. I was abit concerned, so I contacted EE via live chat and he said i would 100% get it on the 13th/14th March.

I still didn’t receive it, so i went in store and they had the S20 & the S20 + in stock, but no Ultras. EE blamed the corona virus, but I don’t understand how they managed to get the other models in store then? Tbh i think they’re just using it as an excuse to cover up the fact there's been too many pre-orders and promised people they’d receive the phone on release date.

Pre order is not a guarantee of getting it on release day. Pre order is just you joining a queue like you would in a supermarket.

You are paying for nothing if this is a new contract ot your existing deal if you have upgraded.

Who said anything about a network when I say other suppliers have it?
Very.co.uk have it in stock for delivery in 1 working day, john lewis via
there website have it in stock for either next day click and collect or
delivery, other companies have it so stock was issued else where

@Rawlings1103 It may say that but I bet if you ordered one it won't come

But it may be that places like John Lewis received enough to fulfill orders and have surplus.

EE is bigger fish when it comes to selling mobile phones so more sales would have gone through EE rather than Very or John Lewis

That is exactly what a pre order means, getting said product on release day, your arguing with a gamer about pre orders and receiving products on release day. Even if the product does not get delivered on release day then a day or two later at most especially with a pre order. If EE cannot supply customers then how come other companies can who pay for the phone outright?

If EE is such a bigger fish then there initial supply should have been more and seeing as EE is such a big fish how come samsung decide to send more of there product to a lowly john lewis or very? When there not even phone companies themselves?

@Rawlings1103  can you show me the information where you found that John Lewis got more stock? Because you sre making assumptions.

EE are bigger fish for the mobile market they may have had bigger supply but they would have had a massive amount of pre orders compared to John Lewis.

Lets set an example.

John Lewis has 100 pre orders.

John Lewis receive 150 stock

John Lewis now has 50 stock spare.

EE has 200 pre orders

EE receive 175 stock

EE are short 25 stock so 25 people at back of the queue miss out on first batch and must wait for next shipment (or cancel its up to them)

I've since private messaged someone who works with ee and hes confirmed that it has nothing to do with the coronavirus. But I want to make it abundantly clear, that if I have to self isolate without an 8k camera that was promised to me. I will have the biggest tantrum this forum has ever seen.

I feel that, I ordered in store and only had to pay my pre order deposit with the upgrade fee being paid on collection so that hasn't bothered me as much. I'm just not a patient person! If there weren't more important things going on right now I might feel differently!

I have spoke to a few operators on the phone and was told all these things

1. The phone are made in China and it was due to the Coronavirus

(Lies the phone are made in South Korea.)

2. The haven't been sent by Samsung.

(Lies as they would have been sitting in a warehouse for months, this is why you have to update them on set up)

3. EE have the phone, but they are in quarantine in a warehouse and will be sent out to customer buy 31/03/20.

(Lies as the phone would never go in quarantine)

Why cant EE just been honest with the customers, but all you get is lies from a dishonest company. Shame on you
