I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.
i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

So why was I told the 10th when I ordered? And why was I told delivery today if that's not true either? No one can seem to give me a straight answer so it's more than a little frustrating......especially when I was expecting the phone on the 10th and heard nothing from ee

Hi, I ordered the Ultra 512gb model. I was told it would be despatched on Friday 13th. I spoke to EE yesterday and was told they are out of stock on the 128gb and 512gb models. I have no idea when I'll get mine.

You'll get a text from EE and/or DPD the day before it is due to be delivered.
Pre-Ordering doesn't guarantee launch day (or this case 3 days early) delivery. It is sent out on first come first serve

Getting a txt the day before is no good when you work away for a living. I need a date so I can arrange something. And it's not on a first come first served basis as I know people who ordered after me who have recieved theres

There is no incentive for Samsung to hold them back for themselves the free bud offer is for purchasing everywhere. The free buds are being supplied by Samsung no matter where you purchased EE or Samsung direct or other retailers.
You claim for the free buds once you receive your phone through the Samsung Members app. They are not shipped with the phone and they are not automatically claimed for. You have to do that yourself.

It always has been this way of getting the text the day before.
It is first come first serve.
Did these others you know about order the exact same phone variant. Colour, storage size same variant etc?
Did they order from EE like you did or from another retailer.
