I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Clearly they didn't expect a delay but it would have become glaringly obvious in this past week (at the very least) that they couldn't meet the demand. Would it have hurt to then release a statement to that affect, which in turn may well have reduced the number of angry, upset, enquiring (etc) phone calls. It's been handled badly and that is why everyone is frustrated.

Im sorry but everyone knew about the pandemic issues overseas.

This has been known for over a month now.

I would understand if they give that info to people who preordered on the 15th of feb.

But i ordered on the 8th of march and Ive got fed the same info.

Dont tell me they didnt know 5 days ago that there would be issues with the deliveries. As im working in logistics myself i can tell you its not working like that.

Ok money first !!

It was on the phone and i specialy asked are you sure about that as the website is showing 31st answer was no it will be 13th.

Unfortunately now is a bit too late to change their statement as it was confirmed by 2 separate agents

They would have know when they spoke to me on Thursday that they didn't have stock as they had the phones and knew how much stock they had as some people according to ee themselves got it 3 days early. What they should do is go on the samsung website put through a bulk order for next day delivery then send to us. I know its doesn't work like that but it would be nice. Not ee agents fauilt however someone knew at ee and should have updated the system and message everyone. To be honest if I hadn't have called them I would still be in the dark and no message from ee at all. 2 weeks. Really am think of canceling. Might leave ee all together this has happened everytime I have up grades something for the last 4 years. Iys not the virus its them.

Worst case scenario if its not here by 24th

I will cancel everything and switch.

But we will see

Sorry to disappoint people, but EE has changed the date of stock from 31st March to “email us when we have the stock in now” this could be going on for months.

I have just come off the phone with EE. I decided to give them a call again just to see if I could ask them to put any rumours to rest, ask for any kind of estimate date wise, are we looking at months rather than days or weeks etc.

I spoke with such a lovely lady who I believe was being very honest. She read me a statement direct from Samsung that basically stated they didn't expect such high demand (huge eyeroll directed at Samsung) and that they aim to have orders fulfilled BY 31st march.

The lady on the phone said when they say that, it's usually the worst case scenario for a date and hopefully means they will have sorted it before then. This lady also said the last orders to be fulfilled are showing as the 23rd of Feb, time unknown, but as I ordered the 24th, I should be pretty close to getting mine now... here's hoping!

Oh and one last thing, she also said deliveries can come in at anytime of the day, any day or night. Including weekends. Which means nothing is at a standstill just because it's the weekend 😊 I have a good feeling about this coming week...good luck everyone 😆
