Mike197928

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

So, everyone forced to moved to the 128Gb?

I quickly tried the autofocus after the update (speed at which it adjusts between foreground and background), it looks pretty fast now and onpar with the concurrents - it was much slower before on comparative videos.

Hi @Knightrider77

I refer back to my last post. If they don't have the stock then they cannot send a device, hence the delay.

@77cats yeah pretty much, only because it looked like stock wasn't going to turn up, but I've just read that Samsung completely underestimated how popular the ultra was going to be, they produced far more s20 plus models, hence the stock issue 😡 as it turns out apparently it's selling too well, not sure where but there you go.

Samsung doubles the Galaxy S20 Ultra sales forecast

Costing a hefty $1399 on the low end, the Galaxy S20 Ultra has initially been forecast to take just 10-15% in the S20 series product sales mix. Fast forward to today, and the expected sales volume of 20 million units by model goes as this:

  • Galaxy S20 30% (6 million units)
  • Galaxy S20+ 40% (8 million units)
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra 30% (6 million units)

So far, the cheapest and smallest S20 with its 6.2-inch screen is selling the slowest, with the S20+ eventually pulling ahead of them all. For now, however, part suppliers that provide the specialized S20 Ultra components, are the only ones that are barely feeling the sales slump pinch, as the Ultra is proving twice as popular with users than Samsung expected in the beginning.

@Bobless my order was on 3rd march which was early upgrade as I saw the expected date being moved on and on, it was the s20 ultra 512gb.

Obviously that didn't materialise so downgraded to 128gb on Saturday, in grey, EE honoured the buds plus as well which should be with me by Friday, ordered over phone originally👍🏽

@Dave1458

@Bobless

Yes I pre-ordered the 512gb on 25th February which was an store order, until yesterday decided to change the order via phone as it won't appear at anytime in this month or so, I also added the buds plus in my order, so I have a feeling it might be weds that I will get everything! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Ordered 25 Feb for the 512gb S20 Ultra with no delivery date at all. The reason why I ordered 512 is that the internal storage is much faster and quicker compared to the SD card despite having the fastest card of v60. Right now, I give up. I might as well downgrade to the S20 Ultra 128gb 😞
