Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

@Bobless I ordered a 128gb grey on the 6th March - I had to ring up several times and got many different answers. It seems my original pre-order was just sitting there in purgatory. So someone re-ordered it, but that didn't work, so they tried again today and I have now had the DPD notifications - hopefully that's the saga over.

It shouldn't be down to you to chase them up but it looks like that's the only way.

Morning @Joshua111 @davj

As @James_B has advised, the 512GB model hasn't been discontinued, it's just currently out of stock.

We’ll deliver to you as soon as we receive stock from Samsung.

Thanks.

Did you order in store, over the phone or online?

@Leanne_T if that’s the case then why are EE’s advisors giving out false information

Still no further forward, no reply from Samsung. I am going to give the wait a final month and if nothing I shall either keep the phone I have or hold out for a downgrade to the 128GB. This is not something I want to do, as I shall loose the minute one bundle and the elusive ear buds!

Live Chat transcript  with Roann from Samsung (21/04/20)

Samsung: Hi , nice to meet you! Hope that you are doing well and safe. We appreciate your interest to Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 512GB, well upon checking here we still do not have information if this will be back in stock.

Me: why not?

Samsung: We're really having a hard time to get this model, and we dot have information if this will ba back or not.

Me: so are you saying there is a chance it may not come back into stock?

Samsung: Possible, because it's been months that we still not having stock for this model.

Me: So if this is the case, why is it still being sold on the promise it will be delivered upon stock levels rising?

Samsung:
I understand. But again were not yet sure if this will be out because we are still waiting for an update on when this will be available.

Me: So why can it be allowed to be sold if there is no guarantee of stock?

Samsung: In the website you can't able to purchase the model because it is out of stock and in our stock report for three weeks still it will not be back in stock. You may consider other Samsung phone to purchase.

Me: I am not talking about your site, I am talking about UK network providers STILL selling an out of stock handset.

Samsung: Wer do not have information with our Uk network providers and retailers that sell this model.

Me: Perhaps you should do, especially as when I pre ordered I also became eligible to claim a pair of galaxy buds, which I have to redeem via Samsung.

Samsung: We are also an independent retailer and infromation that we can only give are in the website.

Me: I understand that, but other retailers are advertising your products and people are placing orders for something which simply cannot be fulfilled.

Samsung: We're sorry to hear that but thank you so much for raising that. Is there anything else that I can assist you with?

Me: No, that is all

@MissRoseGold the problem is, he appears to be referring to Samsung retail shops/website, they will be selling unlocked handsets, so how does that affect phones supplied by networks? Presumably they are separate stocks/contracts to be honoured? Will they take precedence? This is what we need to hear from EE.
