I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

DPD live chat Bot now telling me my delivery is due on Tuesday now, not Monday.....after having originally changed it to Sunday....

App still says it's due out for delivery for today.

Just spoke to them on the phone and was told it was late coming into the local depot this morning the 30th, despite being told it was being held at the local depot yesterday for Monday delivery on the 29th when i called. Think this lot read off the same scripts that some at EE do.

This phone better be worth it! 😂

Phone arrived an hour ago, I'm in love lol, well worth the wait !

Did you receive a notification from DPD, or did it just show up?

My DPD app said delivery today, I'll get my hour slot around 14:00.

14:00 came and it said it would be delivered today.

14:27, update saying it would be delivered tomorrow.

Used livechat to speak to an advisor who said they don't know why and would pass my number to my local depot.

Depot apologiesd and said they do not know why it's being held and it would be delivered tomorrow.

Gutted 😞

@SwannyBhoy "Being Held" - That's what i got on the call with them too.

Being held until they have someone who's prepared to deliver in this area I reckon.

Is waiting an extra day really that big a deal? There are still people here who ordered in feb and have no info at all about the status of their phone

Personally, not a big deal for me at all. I'm stuck working from home for the foreseeable future so the eventual delivery date (hour) is having a minimal impact compared to if i was at work in the normal sense.

It's just disappointing and a little frustrating that the entire process after order confirmation hasn't been entirely as smooth as expected.

That and i'm impatient...lol

Just got off phone to EE and have been told the 512gb will probably be at least another couple of weeks, that said the bloke did tell me that production in China had started again today.

Anyone know how I can get hold of DPD without a tracking number ? THe app won’t let me live chat without a DPD number or reference 12 digits apparently.

can’t call them either as it just rings out with no answer !

wanted to speak to them to see what the situation was according to them..

Just curious to see if anyone has had a similar experience to myself and to get some advice on next steps...

Ordered a new phone 17th of March, with a trade-in deal, trading in my Galaxy Note 9 for an S20 Ultra. No stock available at the time, so that's fine, I understand that everyone's supply chain is messed up at the moment due to COVID-19, I'll wait.

Got sent a return pack in the post, saying they wanted my note 9 back by 2nd April. Called up EE support, was told that I don't actually need to send it back until 14 days after my new phone arrives. Then got sent text message and email threatening charges (£40 plus loss of the trade in discount of £300) if my note 9 isn't returned by April 1st.

Contacted EE support again, had them send me an email confirming in writing that I don't need to send my old phone back until my new phone gets here, as stated in the T&Cs. Forwarded this to Brightstar (who handle EE trade-in and are the ones hassling me) in response to their demand for my phone by April 1st, got told in response that they were still expecting my phone by April 1st and I should take it up with EE support (which I have. twice.).

The email was helpfully sent to me at 5:02pm, and I couldn't even call brightstar afterwards since their phone lines shut at 5pm.

So here I am, fully expecting that tomorrow or the day after I'll have a £340 charge put on my bill for not returning a phone that I don't have the upgrade for yet.

I'm pretty sanguine about the upgrade not being here yet, there are much more important things going on right now, but I'm more than a little pissed about EE's trade-in partner trying to shake me down to return my phone before I've even received the new one.

I suppose I'll be calling brightstar tomorrow, expecting that to be an entirely pointless endeavour, we'll see.

Has anyone in this thread here had the same thing from brightstar/EE Trade-In? I'm pretty close to just cancelling the whole upgrade and telling them to get stuffed.
