I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

The amount if different things ee are saying is shocking. Just today I've had 1 person saying it's a first come first served basis and to wait 8 days for delivery.....even though I was told I'd get it on the 10th. And another told me no one should of had it on the 10th and as I pre ordered it I should get it tomorrow. I'm sick of them now. 200 quid a month I pay and u cant even get a delivery date from them. Absolutely shocking customer service

Sorry @Fiona86 but you've been sold a bunch of poppycock there. Firstly, a lot more than 300 people have already had their devices, just look around other forums to see that.

Secondly, they are not shipping from China, they come from South Korea. South Korea is one of the countries frequently praised for how well they are handling the virus and how little impact it's had there.

Additionally, the devices themselves cannot carry the virus, it cannot survive without a host for more than 48 hours. All the people being told about 'quarantined devices' are being lied to as well.

Just look back over this thread to see EE clearly have no idea what is going on and different people in the organisation are being given different information and passing that on to customers.

It might be right that our phones are delayed, but those 'reasons' are nothing more than excuses.

Received a call today and picked up my phone day earlier than they've told me. Don't worry, looks like there's enough on stock, the problem is with their system

As I thought 48hrs was told handsets in Thailand awhile back only a part come from china but ny sidter has had 3 deliveries from china we are not receiving humans lol how can you preorder on 18th your freind order 2 days later he gets his I get nothing been told 23rd and tomorrow lol it's a joke

@Leanne_T thanks for your response, it wasn't the case that that I didn't get the device before launch date it was because at first being told they couldn't find my order, and once found being told they didn't have a clue when I would get the device.

@Bigdog1979 @Meerodin @ben20k @Apan1 @Leanne_T just had an email from dpd to say I have a package being delivered from ee tomorrow. I do hope you who are waiting for your phone also get yours very soon.

@Apan1 pray you stay well and don't ever meet Mr C again in your life

That's not quite true is it?

Until a couple of days ago, South Korea had the highest number of cases outside of China.

Apple released a statement recently to say due to factory shut downs in China, they will miss delivery and sales targets, and many of those factories also assemble Samsung devices.

The quarantine story is rubbish, but COVID-19 has significantly effected supply.
