Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

 

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Dont forget samsung needs to supply this phone worldwide to millions of customers. Delays can happen.

 

Yes EE could be more transparent but this happens every year with both Apple and Samsung. But yet people are always surprised.

 

With the current climate of coronovirus things got slowed down. Yes the production of the S20 was halted but other factories were shut down more than once.

@ShaneFay cheers mate was a scare for sure. And i agree with you regardless of samsung stock issues, EE where still selling units under the pretense of them being received on the 10th and also not updating customers of any issues with stock and that is not on. I felt like a right plum in the shop today walking in happy to get my new phone to find out no one knows when i will get it. This would have been avoided if customers where kept in the loop by EE and also advised customers if as @BrendonH  says after a week of pre orders there would be no units until 24th this should have also been told to the customers and maybe there wouldn't have been loads of unhappy customers 

The pre order offer was concluded before the first virus outbreak so they should have known before then

And I read an article that the uptake in the US was down by 50% since last year with the S10+, unless this was fake news but it was from an usually trusted source on the web.

@BrendonH sorry mate I had to laugh to myself when I thought to myself the coronovirus has been blamed for toilet rolls, hand wash, hand sanatizer and pasta dissapearing from my supermarket shelves and now it has stopped me getting my phone lol,

@ShaneFay what does your order status say on you my EE?

@ShaneFay I have inadvertently stock piled toilet roll. 

 

Because everyone is buying in bulk leaving nothing near me I had to amazon prime some as I run out.  The only available one was 108 rolls.

 

So if you need some I'm selling at £1 a roll.

 

Jokes aside though I did say it didnt stop production of the S20. It stopped production of the Flip Z. But it could mean less freight movement which I havent heard about though.

I don't know my order number so can't check but the lady from ee said they don't have a date for me but to ring up next week for an update. They couldn't find my order at first.

I got a 10er! woohoo! 😴

This is not a first come first serve issue I ordered on 18th told 10th my friend ordered 2 days later and got his today pay all fees for pre order for what ask ee and they non stop lied as they ain't got a clue useless that's for sure
