I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.
i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

I have the same issue. I paid an early upgrade fee and £50 upfront phone cost to upgrade to the ultra which i was told i would get the ear buds and receive my new device in store on 10th March. Walk in to store today and they said we have had no deliveries of any s20 phones. Another worker then pointed out that the previous day they had recieved info stating that there will be stock issues on all models of the phone but especially the ultra, which is being distributed on a first come first serve basis amongst all the pre orders. The store advised me to call EE and see what they had to say and all they said was there is nothing we can do and wait until you get a message saying it is ready and that i might not even get it by the release date. Tracked my order online just now and it states expected delivery between 24th - 26th March. Thats unacceptable!!

24th feb but there info stated as long as you ordered before 3rd march you would be entitled to the ear buds and early date of the 10th. EE confirmed i will be getting the buds but no date on when i will get the device as it only shows as open orders and they can't look at store orders. I waited so late as my standard free upgrade was May 25th so i waited until my bill pay date of 23rd to get the price down more.

@BrendonH sorry to sound a little confused but what was Samsung UK stating by the 24th Feb at 10?
@Apan1 it is out of order if promised a date by a representative, lucky enough for me I use my phone for business calls too and work for a corporate company so I record all calls that are made and recieved so I have proof of the verbal promise made, I had to listen to it again before ringing them just incase I had made a mistake lol.

I spoke to the guy who sold me it and sold me and family the s7 edge and s9 plus and have used the store for last 4 years and had no issues and even he was annoyed with the lack of info especially only finding out themselves about stock issues on the 9th March. He told me to get on to 150 and when i told him what was told to me he apologised repeatedly and said this makes us in store look bad and especially as if i waited i wouldn't have had to pay the early upgrade fee which was pretty steep especially as this was the dilemma i had when ordering it and stated im not sure about pre orders in regards to handsets as i can get it free if i waited but after getting an all clear regarding the big C word i thought the hell with it lifes too short but now im pissed

After less than a week of pre orders going live Samsung UK was quoting 24th March for delivery on the S20 Ultra.

@BrendonH then why wasn't this disclosed by EE stores or by orders over the phone as i have just spoke to EE again and they state they have no date/info on stock coming in and they even stated that even if you was in the pre ordered 10th delivery bracket they where advising the 13th but now they don't even know when? And surely not knowing how popular a device would be is a cop out and a reoccurring issue with samsung as it happened with there watches and other devices too surely pre orders should tell them how many they need and they keep falling short and like i said i could have waited and not paid the £199 early upgrade cost if i wasn't getting it until 24th March it would have meant my early upgrade fee would have been a lot lower. This is purely a case of being sold an item with an expected outcome and not receiving it plain and simple.

I know of 2 people who received their S20 Ultras today.
The only delay not for supply issues is in the Netherlands.
The delay here is because demand has exceeded supply.

@Apan1 Well done on getting the all clear mate, the only positive bit of information I have heard since finding out I will not be getting my S20 Ultra as promised, and yes life is too short so live it to the full and buy yourself and others which will make you happy.
@BrendonH so if after a week of sales they knew there was going to be a delay means the representative purposely lied to me to gain my sales as I am sure this information must of been passed to their staff to eliminate any negative trust issues with their customers.

I get supply issues being an engineer but to have a delay of a couple of days fair enough but 2 weeks is unacceptable and that is down to Samsung yet again not being prepared. They knew the ultra would sell a lot more units then the standard S20 and the purpose of pre orders is to know quantities and each unit release has issues with stock this has been going on since the s6 and with all samsung products since
