Samsung S21 - Music pausing when screen is locked

media keeps pausing when using bluetooth. Checked all battery settings and app is set to not sleep etc. reset galaxy buds, reset galaxy s21, unpaired, repaired, updated, re-installed apps. still no luck.

Is this Music from your Storage, or Streaming Music (ie uses Data).

Which Music App you using.

Seems to be when streaming, happens on both wifi connection and when using mobile data. 

I've tried Spotify, various radio player apps, and Soundcloud. 

It still pauses even when the screen is unlocked.

Does it pulse and then start again or just stop.

It stops completely and I have to start it again. The earbuds remain connected as i can use them to start the audio again.  (The issue also happens when connected to a bluetooth speaker)

I don't have a usb C to 3.5mm jack adapter so i'm not able to try

What about when playing music through the built in speakers @Jonni101?

It plays with no interruption through internal speakers with the screen locked or unlocked.

(No issues on calls via bluetooth, only media playback)
