Hi,
I just text the 65075 number today (11th October 2021) to receive a PAC code as I will be switching provider once my contract ends on the 2nd of November 2021. However it has said in the text message I will be charged £20 extra on my final bill?? How can I be charged this amount if I am not planning to change until the 2nd of November and the fact that my contract ends in less than a month?

@Shalsey97 The quoted amount is based on the assumption that you are going to give the PAC code to your new provider at once. It represents an early termination fee on you contract. But if you’re not planning to switch until after the 2nd of November, it shouldn’t matter. Be aware, though, that PAC codes are only valid for 30 days.

@Shalsey97 any over payments will be returned back to you. Don’t worry about it.
Also just to ask you sure your tariff reaches its minimum term period on the 2nd of November?

@Captgeneralmark thanks for replying! No idea how happy I am to hear that lol
I'll definitely be switching before the 30 days

@Shalsey97 Just going over this thread. you been told you’ll be charge an early termination fee you don’t get charged to terminate a contract. You’ve requested your pac code within the last 30 days of your contract and you’ve already paid this. You pay pro rata. You are being told you’ll need to pay £20 because from the 2nd to the 10 of November you’ll still have EE service as you requested your pac on the 11th of October but if you pac out before the 3rd of November this £20 is irrelevant.
