Hi, I've just joined ee last week and ported my number over and having the same issue with text messages being sent from original ee number but calls are my number. I'm on a Samsung S21

I hope you're well and having a nice day, other than this issue of course. Are you up to much? 

 

Could I just check when it was you gave us the PAC code to transfer the number over?

Hi Chris,

I'm good thanks mate, enjoying the nice weather 🙂

 

It was last week, I think it was around the 07th but went through last Thursday.

 

It texts off the correct number sometimes but other times not.

This weather is beautiful isn't it, I'm loving it.

 

As it transferred on Thursday I wouldn't expect this to still be happening.

 

I think doing something called a network refresh will fix it. To do that please follow the below instructions:

 

Step 1: Go to settings or Swipe down notification panel and tap on settings gear icon

Step 2: Tap on General management

Step 3: Tap on Reset under reset section

Step 4: Tap on Reset network settings

Step 5: Press Reset settings button

Step 6: Again tap on Reset settings

 

Once you have followed these steps you will need to re-enter any WiFi passwords you have saved. Please let me know if this helps.

Hi Chris,

 

Thanks for this, I followed the steps and straight after sent a test to my work phone and it still came through as the original ee number then I restarted and sent another and it came through as the number it should so I am hoping its fixed. This did happen last week as well so I will have to wait until I message someone else before I know it's sorted but for now I think it is.
