Re: New pay as you go packs

Hi,

Question:

Will this (pictured) be the pack I get in 13 days? or is it an app glitch?

Background:

I've been a payg customer for some time now, so am still on the old £5 everything pack 150mb/100m/250sms, with my boosts it's 1025mb/125m/300sms.

I notice in my EE app today it's showing my upcoming pack as higher values that I'd normally get so went searching online today to find out why.

I have been oblivious to the ongoing changes to packs, such as the previous £5 pack upgrade that looks like happened a year ago (where I could have gotten more data etc, why weren't we moved over automatically?). Now if course there's no such thing to switch to.

I want to know if this screenshot means EE are actually going to do right by their loyal legacy customers and next renewal give me what £5 would have bought before the packs vanished? Or is that wishful thinking and an app glitch showing me what I could have had if EE had moved their customers to the new packs automatically meaning I'll just get the 150mb base pack again?

I have accumulated 11 boosts and am on disability benefit so don't want to move over to a £10 pack. Am I stuck in limbo now and need to change provider to get current-day £5 PAYG value?

Thanks in advance and apologies for being upset at todays revelations.

@Keatrix : Yes, providing you let it auto renew. The data increase possibly contains a Rollover. You are still on an old-style Everything pack & its contents has nowt to do with new-style packs or their history.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Hmmm  even with a full 150mb rollover on top of my 1050mb renew amount (boosts inc) it still doesn't come to the 3.7gb stated I'll get..

But will see what happens in 13 days.. I won't deny I suspect it's a glitch, as it seems you don't get anything upgraded without having to manually do something first!

@Keatrix  EE will not change you to a different pack/allowance even if there are new packs available and the one you have is no longer available to choose.  Is your choice to change packs not EEs to force a change.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
