Port in error with three wanting to port to ee

tjdbluewolf

I ported to three about 2 weeks ago and they've stuffed up and i can only call out on my number i want to keep, but no one can txt or call it, it says the number doesn't exist. If i port to ee would that problem follow or would it be like a reset? I'm having not luck getting it resolved with them and have been told 3 times now that I'm prioritised but it's been nearly 2 weeks of no calls

Hi @tjdbluewolf

I see where you're coming from! Unfortunately it depends where the problem is. If EE's routing data has been correctly updated and the fault is within 3's network, then trying to port back has every potential to make things worse.

I have exactly the same problem as you, moving from Three to EE. How long did it take to get resolved and did you ever find out what the cause was?

@Gerry_Atric

This specific thread was regarding the user having moved from EE > 3 and querying how to resolve a problem. Your post in the other thread was regarding a port from 3 > EE.

The two are therefore different scenarios with different advice. Ideally I'd suggest starting a new thread with your issues, but at the very least, what has happened in your case?

Edit: I see you're now getting advice in another thread - this is why duplicate posts can cause confusion.

Hi!

Sorry for the confusion. The lack of incoming calls and text were causing so much frustration, especially after the poor experience talking to EE and Three over the phone, I became desperate for answers. I wanted to know if it was a quick and simple thing to fix, or if it was going to take days or weeks.

Luckily an EE staffer seems to have intervened so I'm hopeful they will do the necessary to ensure it's fixed today.
