Have you turned on the wifi functionality on your phone and are you able to see other SSIDs but not the SSID of your EE 4G router?

Do you have a laptop or other device which can see the SSID of your EE 4G router and can connect and access the internet?

phone picks up the wifi signal very well from both tp link devices elsewhere in the house, but when close to the router the phone does not recognise the router( wifi enabled on phone).

Computer is wired into router and working well. Can I find router details here to "Add Network" to phone. If so where do I find the details/

I don't think I've ever come across the issue of being too close to a router before.

If you look up your mobile phone manual you should be able to add a Wifi network even if it doesn't appear on the list. It should be near the list of wifi access points you do see and will be along the lines of "add manually". Likely to be WPA2-personal for authentication, SSID you should know from standing further away. For SSIDs which your phone recognizes, there may also be an option to connect to a remembered SSID.

I assume you've already rebooted both router and mobile.
