Phone Number Disconnected. Stuck Abroad. No access to money.

My phone number has been disconnected. I haven't used it in about 6-months. Since I no longer have access to my phone number I can't use the OTP feature with my bank. I can't make payments or get money from an ATM. I will be stuck in Thailand without money if I can't fix this.

I phoned support multiple times but couldn't get through to anyone because my EE phone number doesn't exist.

I am out of options. Please somebody help me.

@antonbuck   You sim goes in to hibernation if it is not used and then it is eventually deactivated as it is assumed that the Sim card is no longer being used, to stop this from happening you need to make a chargeable call or text at least once every 2 to 3 months.    If when calling customer services and it says your number is no longer existing then fortunately you no longer have access to that number. I very much doubt EE give you this back and can not help you gain access to anything you have associated with that number.

but try calling this number +44 7953 966 250 but do not enter your mobile number if required to do so,  you need to speak with customer services.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi there @antonbuck

Thanks for coming to the community.

As @Chris_B has advised your number will go into hibernation, if you haven’t used your phone for any chargeable activity for 179 days.

Our customer care team can get this looked into for you and let you know if the number can be reinstated, if you give them a call.

Let us know how you get on 🙂

Leanne.

Managed to speak to someone thanks to your tip, Chris. Thanks for that.

Unfortunately, the guy said they won't be giving me my number back.
