After reading a few community posts regarding how to remove content lock on my PAYG phone I am still at a complete loss of how to remove it as i do not have a credit card or photo ID to take into a shop. It now puts me in a position that if this problem can't be solved easily then i'm left with no option than to have my new phone unlocked and for me to take my business back to my previous network where this issue was never a problem. I do hope their is a speedy solution to this problem as the frustration is building up in that i've wasted my money in buying a new phone that is tied into the EE network.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

No worries as all sorted now. Spoke to a lovely person in customer care and the dreaded lock has been removed.

@JJay51 You need to prove to EE your over 18 as content lock is there for a reason as you wouldn’t want a child accessing inappropriate material on the Internet. Obviously this will mean a trip to an EE store.

I'm 51 and do not have a driving licence, passport or any other kind of photo ID so a trip to an EE store would be a waste of my time. I also have health issues and in the current climate it is not in my interests to be going out to resolve something that i should be able to do online. To be honest i am quite disappointed that this is such an issue to resolve. I do understand why kids have to be protected but if i had known before buying this phone then i would not of wasted my money in the first place.

Hi @Gel4201
To be transferred to the Pay as you go Care team you would need 25p credit for the call, do you have this on your account?
Thanks.
Leanne.
