Why do I keep getting a no internet connection message on my mobile even if I have enough bars visible for connection?

@MikeB2169  Because mobile data can be turned off and or any apps that need to use mobile data haven’t been allowed to use mobile data.  You enable these from within the data/app settings of your device.

Morning @MikeB2169

Thanks for coming to the community.

Do you have data turned on within your phone settings?

Can you make calls and send texts?

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

Yes and yes.

Thanks @MikeB2169

Do you see this message every time you try and use the internet?

Does this happen in more than one area?

Leanne 🙂

No and yes.

Thanks @MikeB2169

What phone are you using?

If you restart the phone, can you connect to the internet?

Thanks.

Leanne.

It's a Redmi 7a dual SIM. Yes it will connect after switching off and on, but loses it again later. Can't get internet at the moment and am using WiFi for this, although I could get connection 10 minutes ago!

Thanks @MikeB2169

Do we have any problems showing for the area on the Coverage and Network Status Checker?

Are you able to try the SIM card in another phone to see if the same happens?

Thanks, 🙂

Leanne.

Thanks really appreciate your help. No haven't got another phone I can use. Have just tried adjusting data permissions in the apps settings and it has now reconnected so hopefully that may have done it. Will keep checking it and come back if the problem continues. Thanks again.
