I was told by EE  firstly that the router was faulty and they sent a new one which didn’t work in my house but works from another mast so was then told that some masts don’t work the router but can’t get my head round this!  Can anyone explain this I get 4g on my phone 5 bars and can connect to the internet on that.

Hello @Corncrake

Welcome to the EE community

4G routers and phones use the same network, subject to some specific caveats, but when those apply it's the phone that's usually the weak link.

Which 4G router device do you have, and does it work in other locations?

Can you try swapping the SIMs between the router & phone, see if the problem remains with the device or follows the SIM?

I have a 4GEE home router 2 was told by EE not to swap the sim but will try that and let you know

Sorry and yes it works from a different mast???

I swapped sims but it still didn’t work. Red network light is on always

Hi @Corncrake

Thanks for coming to the community.

Does the SIM card from the router show signal in another device?

Speak soon 🙂
