Loyalty Discount

My wife has just completed an early upgrade to the new Galaxy S20. She was offered the loyalty discount online while looking at the website for a few days. 

Since I have been with EE the same amount of time, how do I go about getting the same loyalty discount? With the phone lines only available for urgent calls at the moment, I don't feel I can simply call up.

Any discounts offered through an upgrade will depend on the device and plan ordered at the time of upgrade.

 

You can check your online account or text UP to 150 to find our when you are eligible to upgrade. If you log into your My EE account all offers available to you will show.

I have a similar issue, except I have the discount but can’t use it.

 

I have the loyalty early upgrade discount that states I can upgrade early at no extra cost. However, when I try to use it it says I need to pay the full early upgrade fee. There is no way to see which upgrades are applicable or any T&C to view. This seems to be a very silly functionality by EE and I must admit there APP and website UI is pretty terrible

I'm not sure what you mean by loyalty early upgrade discount. Have you been told you can upgrade early for a lower cost?

Yes on my account it states I can upgrade early without paying the early upgrade fee for being a loyal customer. But then when I try to upgrade it says I have to pay £200+ to upgrade. 

 

There are no restrictions described on the offer, no T&C viewable, so this to me seems like I can just upgrade to anything I want without paying the early upgrade fee. But this is not the case, it seems it is only on the new Samsung phone on a specific overly high priced contract. 

 

This to me is not a loyalty scheme, its a way to get you locked into another contract at a high price. I don't even want a Samsung phone, I don't like them. So instead I'm now going to wait until my contract is up and switch to a cheaper provider that can provide just as good signal in my area. I'm really getting less and less impressed with EE and there constant high prices.

You can upgrade to a device and/or plan of your choosing in the last 45 days of your contract. Hopefully you'll see something you fancy then.

Don’t use the app to order your phone, order it online through their website and login into your account the discount applies then.
