Extra charges on my bill

I've received an extra charge on my bill - 07944 8xxxx0 - 4GEE WiFi 24m 10GB £15 Any idea why? Thank you.

I THINK it might be for an optional add on (free wifi box) which I was told was added free of charge... .it looks as if I've been charged for this multiple times. My own fault for not checking my bill carefully, but I rely on it to be accurate - I should be paying around £30pm, but it's been consistently over £40.

@RichardC2000   You got a free WiFi device but that device has a 24 month contract and that’s what this is.    The word free meant no upfront cost to pay for the device.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I'll need to go through the contract I signed to make sure. It was, I'm almost certain, explained to me that it would be included as part of my regular payments, as it wasn't something I needed long term (our house wifi was down, and I was looking for a temporary fix).

I haven't even used it for months, so I'm definitely paying for something I don't need.

Hi @RichardC2000,

Welcome to the community 🙂

If you contact our customer care team, they will be able to check your account and ensure the correct charges and discounts are applied.

When you completed the sale/upgrade, did you do this over the phone or in one of our EE stores?

Alex 🙂

Thank you Alex. This was in store (Coventry city centre) and I remember accepting it as I was told that it would be within my existing deal with no extra charge.

In a way this is my own fault for not checking my bill, but this is the definition of a waste of money for me as I never use it.

Thank you.

Hi @RichardC2000,

Thanks for getting back to me.

If you give our customer care team a call, they will be able to look into this for you and send any feedback needed to the store on your behalf.

Alex 🙂
