EE Protect Discount in Life

Chrissy21

Hi I have recently upgraded my phone and I have noticed that I can get a free phone case or protector with the above.

I had it with my last phone but bought a case before I had thought about it.

How do I access this discount?

Hi @RangerLazzari,

Welcome to the community 🙂

The information given by @Leanne_T in February is still correct.

The Service Pack and our Insurance cover are two different options you have to add to your account.

You can read up on everything included in the free Service Pack bundle on our Help page.

If you don't have your code to claim the discount for your protective case, our Customer Care Team can issue this to you.

If it is Insurance cover that you would like to add, you can call our Customer Care Team and they will be able to talk you thorough what is available and the additional costs for this.

Alex 🙂

Hi @Chrissy21,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Did you add your insurance cover at the same time as upgrading?

Thanks

James

Hi I was told yesterday when I upgraded that although it shows on my add ons as FREE you actually only get it if you buy insurance from EE.

When I first saw it I thought "Ooh that's great - Good on EE giving us a free case!" Then I realised there was a catch.

It's such a shame  you build your customers expectations in this way to only disappoint us.

Hi,

I've just moved to EE from BT and got my shiny new phone. I've been looking into how to get my free screen protector or case too, and been struggling to find any information.

The add-on does imply you get it for free and doesn't mention any strings attached.

If someone could confirm you only get it if you take out the insurance, if that is the case it's a very sneaky tactic and I'm hoping I don't find any other issues like that.. 🤔

Hi

Could any of you post a screenshot for me please? Or a link to where you seen this.

We'll take a look for you.  🙂

Thanks @gibbylinks

This is in relation to our Service Pack, where you get a discount off protective equipment - on certain plans.

You can find more information on this EE Service pack help page.

The 'Free' part means that there is no recurring monthly cost for the service pack add-on.

Chris

Thanks for that Christopher,

Perhaps you could clarify for me, is it free and if so how do I get it?

Thanks

Add the add-on through your My EE account, @gibbylinks. That adds it to your account at no cost.

Have a look at the EE Service pack help page that I posted, there's loads of information about it on there. 🙂

Chris

There is loads of information, but it doesn't actually tell you how to get it..

I'm beginning to feel like a dog chasing my tail, or is this one of those "How do you keep an idiot occupied" things ?

Sorry Chris, not having a go at you, but if you could pass my comments on.
