Hello,
I have had a data usage warning on my new s20+ saying I am close to my limit which Says 2GB how ever my EE contract and account limit is 40GB.
Is this an error on contract transfer?

Welcome to the community
This sounds like a device setting, without any reference to your account. It can be easily changed - on my Android 8 device (so yours may vary slightly) I follow Settings > Connections > Data Usage > Billing cycle & data warning.
You can change the phone's counting cycle to match your bill cycle, and also amend the amount of data used that triggers the warning.
