Yes, as long as it's not on a 30-day contract or PAYG.

a contract? You can only gift data to other contacts sims on your account.

Not yet, I am thinking of adding a 24 month 4GB data sim for £7.20, then I could move extra data from my phone’s 200GB allowance if needed,

Thanks, have decided against it for the moment, roaming charges and inflation plus 3.9% annual increases make me think contracts are being bled for every penny by EE. Will stick with a giffgaff type deal I think for the moment.
