Hi,
My 24 month contract ended this month. But my phone number has stopped working, I thought it would revert to pay as you go and the number would still be available, but it has not.
Does anyone know what the solution is to retain my old phone number?
Thanks

Hi @ajaz246 ,
Did you explicitly request the discontinuation of your contract and therefore loss of service and loss of the number?
I think if you have phoned up to request that your SIM be moved from the contract (e.g. pay monthly) to PAYG, then that would have been done to allow you to keep your number.
It's best that you contact the service provider (e.g. phone or live online chat) as soon as possible to see if anything can be done for you at the present time.
In hindsight, an alternative play would be to request a PAC and port you number out that way which would simultaneously cancel the contract which was out of its minimum term.

Hello @ajaz246
Welcome to the EE community
There's something not quite right here! Firstly contracts don't end unless the account holder has explicitly given EE 30days notice to disconnect. What you have is a rolling contract that finishes a 24month minimum term.
When you have a pay-monthly phone, you agree to pay that monthly fee indefinitely until such time as you explicitly upgrade, change plan to SIM-only or disconnect (the latter two requiring you to have finished the minimum term).
What makes you think your number isn't working anymore?
