Can I change network before the actual end of my contract?

I was thinking in moving to another network that has 5G signal in my area. Do I need to wait until the end of the contract or can I change as soon as I have the message that I can upgrade? Unfortunately EE doesn’t have 5G in my area and I get mostly 3G connection with current phone instead of 4G.

@Flavi92 : You can switch networks whenever you like, but if you are still within your min term you will be liable to pay early termination fees for the rest of the term.
