4GEE Home Router and Access Point

I've been using the 4GEE home router (model HH70VB) now for some time and I'm pleased with the performance. The LAN output on the router is connected (hard-wired) to an unmanaged switch. I now want to connect (hard-wired) some means of transmitting the wifi signal into the garden on one side of the house. I was told that this would require an Access Point to convert from the wired network to the wifi signal, so I've acquired a TP Link Wireless AP/Client Router (model TL-WR843ND).
Firstly, I'm not sure that the TP-Link unit is is the corect device - the person in our local computer shop seemed sure about it. Looking at the TP-link website it looks like this device is more suited to convertin the wifi signal to a hard-wired LAN - the opposite of my intention. Am I reading things wrongly?
Secondly, assuming that the TP-Link unit is the correct one, how do I configure the system to accept the wired TP-Link device? Connecting to the network I can't see the TP-link unit. I can access the advanced settings in my 4GEE router.

It's the TP-Link that needs to be the AP, not the EE mobile router. You cannot yet see the TP-Link on your LAN cuz by default it is on a diff subnet from your EE mobile router. You 1st need to make it on the same subnet.
You need to 1st ignore the EE mobile router &:
- Connect a PC to the TP-link by Ethernet LAN.
- Browse to http://192.168.0.1 & login as 'admin'/'admin'.
- In its Advanced / Operation Mode section, set it to AP Mode.
- You should find its DHCP is now disabled.
- Now you can connect the TP-Link to the EE mobile router WAN to LAN.

Yes, that TP-Link AP Router seems to fit your bill. It has an Ethernet-powered WAN port to connect to the other LAN port of the EE Home Router. You set it up as TP-Link's Passive PoE Support – Flexible Deployment configuration.

Happy days that I have the correct hardware. Unfortunately it's not plug and play, so I've plugged but I'm not playing.
Any suggestions for information sources on how to set up the system, please?

Thanks for your help. I've watched the video and tried.....
I've logged into the 4gee router, but I don't see any obvious 'switches' that allow me to change it to an Access Point.
I've tried to log into the new TP link router, but it doesn't seem to be available on my network. Hence my confusion.

Actually looking at the video again as the TP-Link is AP capable you should follow the 1st part of the video and just set it to AP Mode in its Advanced / Operation Mode instead of my steps 3 & 4 above.
